The workshop which is aimed at teaching the participant important skills of the making of printed garments and print in silk-screen on different surfaces using local people women in a vocational skill to earn a living and support their children and other dependants in a sustainable manner.

KFI, in line with its capacity building programme, organized a training workshop targeted at training single mothers. The workshop which ran for 2weeks, focused primarily on teaching them the art of silkscreen production and design. The workshop is aimed at teaching the participant important skills of the making of printed garments and print in silk-screen on different surfaces using local and easily accessible materials. The bone of this project was to develop these women in a vocational skill to earn a living and support their children and other dependants in a sustainable manner.

The 25th of April 2013 saw the launch of Kinabuti 2013 Collection "Vlisco Carnival In The Desert" sponsored by Martell Cognac. The exclusive fashion party/show was tagged "Martell Presents Milan Fashion Week Featuring Kinabuti's "Vlisco Carnival In The Desert". The invite only show was held at the Italian Consulate General on Walter Carrington Crescent in Victoria Island, Lagos.
